General Description

The air-cooled, waste heat and gas fired ammonia absorption chiller brings the exciting ability to capture waste heat to the entry level sub-5 RT (17.5kW) market. The absorption chiller delivers a step change in fuel efficiency by enabling the chiller to attach simply to an alternate heat source, typically a gas-fired exhaust of a Micro-Turbine or reciprocating Diesel engine. Alternate heat sources may also be used, such as process heat . Savings on energy can be significant. Where the chiller is fired entirely by waste heat, energy costs are effectively reduced to zero. Dual firing allows gas fuel to be used when the prime exhaust gas heat is interrupted or unavailable. With the addition of the chiller to a conventional CHP set-up will deliver tri-generation, or CCHP, allowing the simultaneous delivery of heating, cooling and power from one system or tri-generation energy.
